Consultation
Hammersmith encourages and appreciates the opportunity to get involved in projects during the planning phase. In doing so, we are able to work with both clients and architects to establish a well qualified, cost estimate along with a realistic timeline. Time and money spent during the planning phase, can ultimately save on total job cost and prevent delays once construction begins.

 

Creativity
Because we have years of experience working on very creative and challenging project designs, we are sought by customers who are looking for an intelligent and artistic contracting company. We enjoy making challenging designs become a reality. Hammersmith has excellent design insight and can offer helpful suggestions that aid in making informed decisions on your project. Hammersmith uses Autocad and PDF’s, as well as quality hand drawings to assist in this communication.

 

Communication
Hammersmith believes that clear communication with our clients is of the utmost importance. We go to great lengths to ensure the smooth transmission of information at each critical phase of a job.

Hammersmith is also very proficient at communicating with absentee clients who are often out of town, state, or overseas. Using state-of-the-art web-based job site cameras, email, and of course, consistent telephone connections, clients and architects can view the moment to moment progress of our jobs and, virtually “be there,” to help make necessary and timely decisions. We record the images both for security and to have time lapse video of the construction.

During a job, plan pages can be adjusted at an architect’s office and then be on our site immediately, thanks to the technology of a full sized, plan printer used in our job site office.

Contract options
Hammersmith can work with several different contract formats. Cost plus a Fee is a form of a Time and Materials contract. We also utilize Fixed Price contracts. A time and materials contract offers the most flexibility and complete transparency for the owner. We are always happy to discuss which option is best for you and your building project.
