F. Glen Hochstetter, Founder and President of Hammersmith,
Inc.
Glen founded Hammersmith, Inc. 28 years ago. Prior to that he worked as a
professional helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, and for private corporate
clients as a civilian.
He has adapted his education in aeronautical design to meet the needs of
his construction clients. Issues like stresses and weight-bearing loads are
second nature to him now when he discusses different aspects of a project.
These skills are indispensible in dealing with architects, engineers, building
inspectors and clients.
Mr. Hochstetter has lived in Bridgewater, CT, with his wife, Pamela, for
32 years. They have two grown sons, Ian and Timothy, and three grandchildren.
F. Ian Hochstetter, Vice President of Hammersmith, Inc.
Ian has been involved with Hammersmith for 25 years. He began in an entry-level
position and has worked his way up to Vice President and Chief Administrative
Officer.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He is responsible
for most estimating and billing functions. Additionally, he is a clear communicator
and excellent hands-on mechanic, overseeing even the most challenging projects.
Flying fixed-wing aircraft and hang-gliding are two of Ian’s favorite
avocations. He lives in Sharon, CT, with his wife, Trish, and son, Griffin.
